Growing up with dyslexia, reading was a challenge I never thought I would overcome; theatre and music became my preference because, for the most part, I could watch, listen, and repeat. Today, through the support of my amazing family and education at The Cushman School, I take pride in being able to comprehend and enjoy my love for the art of writing and storytelling. Between that and my Type-A tendencies, producing was a love I found later in life. My first taste came from my senior year at the prestigious New World School of the Arts. I wrote a one-person play, Command, where I worked on everything from development and writing, to producing the project on stage.
My time at the Savannah College of Art and Design was formative, as it was there I met my creative partner, director Griffin "The" Hansen. After COVID sent me remote my freshman year, I came back a junior excited to work hands-on with new creative projects. I decided to pivot, throwing myself into social media and marketing for film sets. I am a big believer in making your own opportunities - I guess you could say it's a form of improv, but I was never very good at that, so let's call it an entrepreneurial spirit! I was encouraged by my friends and professors to not only follow the stories I wanted to tell, but get out into the world to make them. I raised over $30,000 during my time at SCAD for women-led films and was awarded the Branded Content Grant for my local commercial work. Since graduating Cum Laude with a focus in producing and writing, I have gone on to work independently with my production company Caralis Productions, with brands and companies such as Gruppetstudios Inc., GBH, New Hampshire and Maine PBS, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fleischer Studios Inc., The National Parks Service, CUYO Productions, Dunkin', and many other wonderful companies. My producing skillset has also allowed me to work with live event production, including my role as an event manager and ambassador with Alliance Marketing Partners. I was also recently awarded a New England Regional Emmy® for Writing - Short Form Content by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the film Within the Crystal Hills, which I produced and co-wrote. I am currently the Public Relations & Assistant Operations Manager at Global Media Studios in Atlanta, GA, and plan to continue developing scripts for television and work towards running my own original shows one day.
If you ever see me on the street or on set, the key to my heart would be a Publix chocolate ganache cake and any water-related activity. If I could work from the beach every day, I would. I have an amazing family and travel up and down the East Coast for work. From Miami to Atlanta to the Boston and greater New England area, if you can catch me, I am always happy to say hello.
